The word "Arete" is Greek for quality. The reference comes from a
popular book written in the 70s by author and philosopher Robert Pirsig.
His book,
Zen and the Art of MotorCycle Maintenance, an Inquiry into Values,
was a serious attempt to investigate how we make judgements about value, and
what it means for something to have value, or quality.
Arete Industries Inc. was incorporated under this name to emphasize
that our primary business objective is to deliver quality techical
business services and software to our clients and to keep all our personnel
focused on that goal. |
